Design work for the re-modelling, re-cladding and extension of an existing retail unit on Snipe Retail Park in Ashton-Under-Lyne.
To maximise development potential of the site for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, Reid carried out feasibility studies for both the re-construction and extension of the existing unit currently occupied by Staples.
The studies resulted in a proposed 7,000 sq. ft extension and complete re-skinning of the building. Designs included a full new internal mezzanine floor.
Reid worked closely with the design team to negotiate with the Coal Board to reduce the impact of a 25m exclusion zone around an existing mine shaft on the site.
The company also represented the client in negotiations with tenants for modifications to the base scheme – including Currys and Marks and Spencer.
