Reid Architects provided design and production information services to Henry Boot Developments for 3,250 square metres (35,000 square feet) of non food retail space at Bromborough on the Wirral. Reid was also successfully novated to Felton Construction for the contract phase of the project.
The site was trading as a Magnet kitchens showroom and warehouse with the brief to the design team to rationalise the site layout to give 2 new units and associated car parking and servicing.
The design work involved careful planning of demolition, decanting and construction to keep the existing Magnet presence on site operational during the construction of the new buildings. Both units are now fully fitted out and trading.
The scheme was completed to budget and 4 weeks ahead of programme.
