82 King Street is at the heart of Manchester’s business zone.
The development is, in essence, two separate though connected buildings – the Grade I Listed former Bank of England and a 13 storey office building completed in 1996.
Reid Architects were invited by F&C Investments to provide design proposals for the refurbishment of the existing banking hall and the communal areas to the 13 storey office tower.
The brief is to ensure that 82 King Street regains it’s prominence in the Manchester office market.
The practice was successful in obtaining Listed Building Consent from Manchester City Council on the 16th March 2009.
Work is to start on site in June 2009.
